What are the harmful effects?

BPA is an endocrine disrupter or hormonally active agent that has very harmful effects on our health. An endocrine disrupter changes the way the body develops organs and genes and causes hormonal manifestations later in life. BPA was even called a “time bomb” by one scientist because it causes so many problems later on in life. Newborns and infants are especially susceptible to these harmful effects because they are developing very quickly and any damage done early on affects them their whole lives.  BPA exposure has been linked to cause a range of reproductive problems (reduced fertility, male and female reproductive tract abnormalities, and skewed male/female sex ratios, loss of fetus, menstrual problems; changes in hormone levels; early puberty; brain and behavior problems (ADD & ADHD); impaired immune functions; and various cancers.
